3-Point Thursday #352

Apr 11, 2024 4:39 pm

Hey,

Still on a high after last night at the Copper Box - what an evening!

This week's 3-pointer:

🦁 London Lions win EuroCup Women title!

London Lions are European champions. Who woulda thought a team from li'l old England would etch their name in history like this?! Incredible. I think Holly hitting the game winning 3 might be the best basketball moment I've ever witnessed in person. Karlie Samuelson MVP. But everyone was well aware, it was London's last dance on the European stage...for now.

🇬🇧 GB Senior Men & Women to play in London

GB will be playing in the capital for the first time in seven years as the men will take on South Sudan (led by former GB star and now president of the federation, Luol Deng), and the women will play Germany. It comes about around the USA Basketball showcase, that sees the USA women play Germany and USA Men play South Sudan and Germany, both at the O2 in July. What a month it will be!

🎙 Podcast: How the MK Breakers took the NBL by storm

Been a while since I got back on the mic, but felt it had to be done after the noise the Milton Keynes Breakers are making and the amount of questions I've been getting about how they're doing it. If you're interested in building or growing your own club, defo worth listening - a lot to take from the Breakers' bottom up approach.

That wraps up another drop, as always, hit reply if you got any questions!

With gratitude,

Sam

P.S. The WNBA is coming to UK TV screens after announcing a deal with TNT
