HOOPSFIX ALL-STAR CLASSIC SET FOR 10TH ANNIVERSARY

- 48 of the top under-19 basketball players in the UK to participate in one day showcase -

LONDON, 25 March 2024 - The Hoopsfix All-Star Classic is set for its 10th anniversary edition with the 2024 event confirmed to take place on Sunday 26th May at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, in London.

Discounted early bird tickets are now on sale as the showcase of the top junior talent in British basketball sets to sell out Crystal Palace for the third consecutive year.

Jordan Brand are the headline partner once again, along with support from Molten, 5or6 and Sportserve.

Two Under-19 games are on the schedule with the women’s game at 1:30pm followed by the men’s game at 4:00pm, with both games seeing a mixture of Class of 2024 and Underclassmen suiting up, while players will also battle it out in a three-point shootout (1:00pm) and dunk contest (3:30pm).

Over 80% of players to play in the Classic have either won a scholarship to university due to their talent, or gone on to professional basketball careers.

Notable alumni include San Antonio Spurs’ Jeremy Sochan (2019), a lottery pick in the 2022 NBA draft, Tosan Evbuomwan (2018) who currently plays for the Detroit Pistons, and Holly Winterburn (2019), who is playing professionally for London Lions in both the WBBL and EuroCup Women this season.

The event, sponsored by Jordan, Sportserve, Molten, and 5or6, is organised by the Hoopsfix Foundation, the not-for-profit arm of Hoopsfix.com, with proceeds from the day being ploughed back into the growth and development of the British game.

In 2021 proceeds from the Hoopsfix All-Star Classic were used to help renovate Clapham Common basketball courts.

“We’re excited to be celebrating the tenth year anniversary of the Classic,” founder of Hoopsfix, Sam Neter said.

“Jordan are back on board to help us showcase the top junior talent in the country, along with long term partners Molten, Sportserve and 5or6. We’re looking forward to watching them put on a show.”

Early-bird tickets – with over 20% off general admission prices – are now available for the next four weeks, at £12 for adults and £7 for under-18s.

The rosters will be revealed in the coming weeks, along with further announcements.

About the Hoopsfix All-Star Classic

With the first event being held in 2014 at Brunel University, the Hoopsfix All-Star Classic has become the premier showcase of up and coming British basketball talent.

Moving to Brixton in 2015 and then Crystal Palace in 2022, the event has sold out every year, whilst being live streamed to a global audience, inviting the top Under-19 males and females to battle it out against each other in All-Star games, along with a 3-point shootout, dunk contest, and a kids clinic and coaching clinic.

With many past players now having gone on to professional careers, as well as representing the Great Britain Senior National teams, the Classic has cemented its status as the number one place in the UK to see the stars of tomorrow all competing in the same place, at the same time.
