Free cryotherapy this Friday!

Hello and Happy Thursday my HOC family!

This Friday from 1pm to 4pm we are offering free cryotherapy sessions from 1pm to 4pm.

I'm doing this as a way to give back to the community to help provide an immune system boost, which is so critical right now.

How does cryotherapy help boost your immune system? I'm glad you asked!

  • Vasoconstriction and Vasodilation: When the body is exposed to cold temperatures, blood vessels constrict (vasoconstriction) to conserve heat. Once out of the cold environment, the blood vessels dilate (vasodilation). This process can increase blood flow and circulation, potentially helping to deliver more oxygen and nutrients to vital organs and tissues.

  • Increased White Blood Cell Count: Some studies have suggested that cryotherapy can lead to an increase in white blood cells, particularly lymphocytes. White blood cells play a crucial role in the immune response, helping the body fight off infections and diseases.

  • Release of Norepinephrine: Cryotherapy can stimulate the release of norepinephrine, a neurotransmitter that has anti-inflammatory properties. Reducing inflammation can support the immune system by allowing it to function more efficiently.

  • Reduction of Inflammatory Cytokines: Chronic inflammation can suppress the immune system. Cryotherapy may reduce the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines, thereby potentially reducing inflammation and supporting immune function.

  • Stress Reduction: Chronic stress can weaken the immune system. The release of endorphins and other neurotransmitters during cryotherapy can help reduce stress, which in turn might support a healthier immune response.

  • Enhanced Antioxidant Activity: Antioxidants play a role in protecting the body from harmful free radicals. Some research suggests that cryotherapy might increase the body's antioxidant activity, which can support the immune system.

  • Thermal Shock: The rapid change in temperature experienced during cryotherapy can act as a form of 'thermal shock' to the body. This shock can stimulate the immune system, making it more alert and responsive.

If you're interested, please reply to this email to let me know so I can add you to the list.

You are welcome to come in any time between 1pm and 4pm. No reservation required.

This is also a great time to invite a friend or family member that's interested and been wanting to try cryotherapy.

Hope to see you soon!

Best,

Tim
