What an exciting time...watching each new Spring bloom come alive as the days go by this season!

Last week, I shared about the Eastern Redbud. It's now past it's peak bloom in our area, but we sure did enjoy a beautiful show from the one in our front yard this season. It was great seeing it full of bees enjoying it, as well!

One of the blooms we are now enjoying is that of Spring Beauty. Spring Beauty is a petite Spring Ephemeral that is a member of the Purslane family. As you can imagine, this can be an important early nectar sources for bees.
