Secret cheat codes you can use to dominate the game of "life"

No inappropriate preamble today.
Let's cut straight to the chase.
1. Sleep Like A Lion
Did you know that lions sleep up to 21 hours per day?
On the face of it, that seems super lazy.
But when you consider how big and beautiful they are, as well as how much effort it takes to hunt down their prey - that level of rest is super necessary.
And yet, us humanoids barely spend 8 hours sleeping per day.
Let's be real, most of us barely sleep 6 hours per night.
I remember a kid from school (hi Harry!) who used to come in every day absolutely exhausted.
Why?
Because the moron used to stay up until 3AM every night and had school at 8 in the morning.
Don't be like Harry.
Get your sleep.
2. Have a “Minimum Viable Day”
Make sure each day ends up feeling like a win.
Even if you were naughty the night before, never let a day go to waste.
Make your threshold for winning so low, you could hit it even if you're feeling hungover and depressed.
Here's a simple one you can follow:
If I write - I win.
Doesn't matter how little you do it.
Just do it.

3. Dopamine Detox is for babies - try DOPAMINE DESTRUCTION
Let me be clear:
There's absolutely nothing wrong with dopamine.
The problem is, people are getting it from the wrong sources.
Nowadays, as soon as you check your phone you're getting pinged with dopamine.
This my dear reader, is no bueno.
Instead, you need to be getting dopamine from things that bring you closer to your goals.
That's what dopamine is for.
In the past, it was released when we moved closer to ensuring our survival.
Now?
Most people are blasted with it seconds after waking up.
This is honestly the biggest cheat code you can take advantage of.
If you change how your brain releases dopamine, you change your life.
Destroy the cheap sources that release dopamine.
And replace them with things that drive you forward.
4. Create > Consume
This is directly tied to the previous point.
Most people only get dopamine from consuming stimulating content.
- porn
- Netflix
- Tik Tok clips
- YouTube videos
If you want to achieve things with your life, this is bad.
Instead, start creating things.
Only consume with a purpose, not to pass the time.
By replacing how often you currently consume with creation, your life will be unrecognisable in a few months.
5. Follow Curiosity, Not Just Money
A quote from Naval:
“Following your genuine intellectual curiosity is a better foundation for a career than following whatever is making money right now.”
6. Curate Your Inputs
You are what you consume.
Whether it be:
- food
- content
- people gossiping
It all affects you, whether you like it or not.
If what you're swallowing isn't fulfilling you, spit it out.
7. The Rule of 100
Do something 100 times before judging it or quitting.
- 100 articles.
- 100 cold emails.
- 100 YouTube videos.
You've got time.
Stop putting off the stuff you want to do.
Try it and see if it's for you.
9. Close Open Loops
Stop wasting time and dilly dallying.
Don't leave things unfinished.
If you can complete a task quickly - do it immediately.
A phone call you have to make?
A text message you can respond to?
Washing the dishes?
Get them done.
Don't let them fester.
This is unnecessary baggage for your mind.
10. Ask Better Questions
Don't be a victim.
And don't ask yourself silly questions.
Instead of doing what most people do and ask yourself:
“Why me?”
Ask yourself:
“What’s this teaching me?”
You can always change your perspectives.
And by extension, your paradigm.
11. Walk
This 10,000 step rule is nonsense.
Do you know what I do because I'm extra?
15,000.
MINIMUM.
In all seriousness, move your body.
You've been blessed with it.
It may not be you, but it is part of you.
You're better off taking care of it.
And in my experience, walking is wonderful.
Especially if you live near nature.
Get off your big bottom and go for a brisk walk.
You'll feel better for doing it.
12. Become a Doer
When I was a kid, my friend had a doll called 'Action Man'.
This doll (or action figure if you're an 'alpha' male) was the epitome of excellence.
He was like Tom Cruise from Mission Impossible before the movies blew up.
Be more like 'Action Man'.
Less like apprehensive, spineless, and hesitating man/woman.
13. Move Towards Your Dream Life - All The Time
If you're living in a way that you don't want to in the future - stop.
Start living the life you want your future to look like.
It's simple as pie.
So simple, it makes me want to cry.
That's it.
Have a blessed week,
Godfrey
