,
Summer is here! We can smell the campfires, grilled meat, and the time together with family and friends! It is also a time to celebrate our graduates and look forward to those summer vacations! The Chamber is looking at ways to draw people into our community and ways we can celebrate the industries that support our economy!
Summer is also a time for summer construction projects to gear up! We, as a Chamber, are committed to keeping you informed on updates on the Hwy 22 project! The utility work is expected to begin mid to late July, and then we will be seeing the major project beginning from the state next Spring! We will be giving information throughout the year and you will see more information with our construction Mascot!
Gill the Hwy 22 Road Project Mascot
We will utilize Gill on our signage and all the communications that we will give about the road work!
Let us take a moment and welcome our newest members - Gillett Cement, Meadowbrook of Oconto Falls, El Borracho Restaurant, and Main Street Sweets! We are so glad to have you aboard!
For all of our members, we are always seeking ways to promote your businesses and organizations! If you have any events or anything coming up, please let us know how we can celebrate with you!
We will be having our June meeting on June 12th at Desserted by Cheryl's Cafe 121 on Main Street, Gillett, at, you guessed it, 121 E Main St! Join us at 7:30 am for a ribbon cutting followed by our monthly member meeting!
If you'd like to host a member meeting as a Spotlight Member, please let us know! Each quarter, we meet at 12:00 pm, 6:00 pm, and 7:30 am on consecutive months! That means July will be our Noon meeting, August will be our 6:00 pm meeting, and September will be our 7:30 am meeting! If you are interested in any of those months, please let us know!
For any updates, if you have events to promote on our website and/or Facebook, or if you'd like to have access to post on our blog please email us at [email protected].
Look forward to seeing you June 12!
Sincerely,
Chris Byars, Gillett Area Chamber Board President
