As we come to the close of March and see the glimmer of Spring arise, we are reminded of the renewed possibilities that come as the winter frost leaves the earth and the feel of the air changes. The songbirds are heard again, and the smells of the season change. We at the Gillett Area Chamber are always seeking to be a greater light for our community as we seek to connect our businesses and organizations as well as our local government. What are the new things of the Spring of the Gillett Area that we see coming? This Spring, we will see the beginnings of renewal as the Highway 22 project begins, and the renewal of the utilities will be completed in preparation for the new road that will come in 2026. We are looking to think of what that will mean for us and our community, and we want to partner with you.
April brings for us the launch of the Gillett Area Chamber Bucks, which we hope that our members will find beneficial and will seek to promote our businesses and more. Any business or organization may be willing to accept these. I can think of some creative ways that they can be utilized within some of our organizations, i.e., as pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, we often have fundraisers we run in the community, and it could be a way that people can give to those fundraisers while supporting our Chamber. How can we support you better? What things will be of greater support to promote your business and organization? How can we advocate for you with our local government? Spring is full of possibilities, and we would like to reach out and say, "We appreciate all our members!"
