Authenticity Is the New Gold Mine
We’re seeing a flood of artificial intelligence products everywhere—tools that can write stories, compose music, create art.
AI can do a lot of impressive things. But that capability also creates a real problem: the more people rely on AI, the less original work there will be.
That’s why I believe authenticity has become the new gold mine.
AI Music Popularity
Recently I was talking with a friend who’s a talented musician. He’s released five or six albums and has a devoted following.
I told him that there’s now a wave of AI-generated music across the streaming platforms getting a lot of listeners.
I didn’t say this to discourage him; I said it because it highlights an important shift. As more people listen to AI music, the sound converges and become similar. Over time, listeners will hunger for authenticity.

I advised my friend that if he wants to prove he truly wrote the songs in his albums, he needs to share the stories behind them: why he wrote each song, what he was going through, and how the songs were born.
Those personal stories are something AI can’t genuinely produce.
