| | Your Life Changes. Your Home May Need to Change With It. | Recently, I've been checking in with some of my past clients. Not to ask them if they're ready to buy or sell. Just to ask a simple question: "How are things going?" And a couple of these conversations reminded me why I think an occasional home and mortgage checkup can be so valuable. One family is helping their son move toward his own home. Their son was originally included on the family mortgage and title. Now, his situation has changed. He wants to purchase a home of his own, so the family is exploring whether he can be removed from the existing mortgage and title. That can involve more than simply changing a name on a document. There may be questions about income, existing debt, equity, refinancing and whether the remaining borrowers can qualify on their own. The lesson? When one person's life changes, the mortgage may need to change too. |
Another client told me their home doesn't really fit their life anymore. The house itself isn't necessarily the problem. Their needs have changed. And that's something I hear more often than people realize. Maybe the family has grown. Maybe the kids have moved out. Maybe they need more space. Maybe they want less maintenance. Or maybe they're simply ready for something different. But that doesn't automatically mean the answer is "sell." There may be several possibilities worth exploring first. Stay? Renovate? Refinance? Sell? Buy something different? Before making a major decision, sometimes the most valuable thing you can do is simply understand your options. | The Home & Mortgage Checkup It's not a sales pitch. It's a conversation about where you are today: β’ Is your current mortgage still appropriate? β’ Has your income or employment changed? β’ Have your debts changed? β’ Has your family situation changed? β’ Does your current home still fit your needs? β’ Are you thinking about moving in the next few years? β’ Are there financial decisions you're unsure about? |
| You don't need to have everything figured out before we talk. That's what the conversation is for. If you're a past client β or simply someone I've helped along the way β and something about your home, mortgage or future plans has been on your mind, send me a message. We can schedule a simple online conversation and look at the situation together. | | No pressure. No obligation. Just clarity before you make a big decision. | Your home should support the life you're building β not make it harder. β Fred | Fred Camingal | Realtor & Mortgage Agent Right at Home Realty Inc. | Pegasus Mortgage Lending Center 416-670-8598 | fredcamingal.com You're receiving this because we've worked together or connected at some point. |
