Happy Friday All

In an effort of full transparency, I want to tell you i have had a hard time this week with balance.

I truly am trying to be a better person everyday - but the demands of a full-time job, a wonderful business, two kids with school and activities has gotten the best of me this week.

I apologize for not being the coach you always need.

I wanted to talk to you about mindfulness, endorphins, dopamine and the healing magic of parsley and lemon. But I will tell you this - I have been in an "not enough" mentality the last 48 hours.

I am not doing a good enough job as their mom

I am not doing enough in the Healthy Six...in my job....in.....

I could go on and on.

I can coach you all in fitness classes, inspire your healthy eating, help coach my son's baseball, nail a trade show and write a great blog for my newsletter; I can look outside myself for validation of enough, but if the inner voice says you aren't enough then you are kicking yourself in the shins from the inside out.

Instead, I will tell you this. Flow today was lovely (linked below); my kids are healthy and happy I am accepting where I am right now, and will do better tomorrow with everything. And I have to confess something.

Change really is hard. The renovation has been challenging in new ways I wasn't expecting. This full-time role, my evolving role as a coach, my kids growing up.

But we have to keep pushing ourselves to be better, each and every day.

"Change is hard because we're forced to do something differently — that's why it's called a growth zone. When we encounter distress or discomfort, our old stories pop up, most of which are self-limiting. That's when we can talk ourselves out of doing something because we assume we cannot handle how we might feel."

Lots of recipes included to make up for my lack!
