Why revisit the Six Pillars mid-way through?

Because, it is important to focus.

I have had participants do this program one pillar at a time - in January, one of our participants got a handle on her sleep; last spring, another reported to me that she has managed to take her 3-4 times a week nightly glass of wine habit down to once a week.

Exercise. Nutrition. Sleep. Meditation. Connection. Gratitude

Nothing about these pillars is unique. But when we focus on achieving the goals within each pillar - the 150 minutes of exercise, the 6 out / 6 in diet, the morning and evening routines, the moments of mindfulness....we thrive.

It is why I have been creating the year round community over the FITFAM / Healthy Six - because health and wellness isn't a "program" or something to be fixed in 60 days. It is a lifelong journey.

My hope is today you journal about

Why you started

Why you are here

How you can deepen your own process

What you want to achieve by June 28th.

We have three weeks. You can start again anytime.

PREBIOTICS

Prebiotics are magic. They create a healthy gut!

From Healthline:

"Both prebiotics and probiotics are important for maintaining healthy gut bacteria, collectively referred to as the gut flora or gut microbiota. However, they have different roles. Probiotics are live bacteria in certain foods or supplements that can provide numerous health benefits to the gut when consumed. Examples of foods that contain probiotics include fermented foods like yogurt and sauerkraut. Meanwhile, prebiotics are high fiber foods that serve as “food” for probiotics, allowing them to function properly and effectively. Examples of prebiotic foods are fruits, vegetables, and whole grains."

This is a list of foods to add to your grocery cart.

Here is a list of great foods you should be eating for gut health. Probiotics and prebiotics have powerful components to shift the lining of your gut. I highly recommend adding kimchi or sauerkraut to your salads this week, and also having Kefir Smoothies! Recipes below!
