My break from writing newsletters over the holidays stretched just a tiny bit longer than planned... But I haven't been idle, I promise! Well, not the whole time anyway...

I've got a beautifully illustrated cover in the works for The Kiynan Chronicles Book 3: The Ordeals of Ornland. It is being made by a human artist (not a given these days, considering the power of AI). I can't wait to show it to you!

Since that is proceeding well, I am likely to go in the same direction for a remake of the covers for books 1 and 2. That means more cover reveals coming up!

I'm still looking for more beta reader feedback on The Ordeals of Ornland, so if you are interested in reading a rough copy, please reply and let me know!

You may remember me mentioning a guide book for running a game of Dungeons & Dragons (5th edition) in The Kiynan Chronicles setting. You can still download it for free, if you're interested (and it has evolved since I last mentioned it). Using that set of rules, I've written a campaign book for a canonical adventure called Return to the Sky. I've been using it to run a game of my own with friends and we are nearing the end (everyone has survived, so far...). Once I finish processing their feedback, I'm planning to publish the campaign as well. If you'd like to get an early, free copy of that, let me know.

Beyond getting ready to publish my new Kiynan material, I've also started working on a new book, switching from the high fantasy genre to low (AKA urban) fantasy. It's still early days, so I won't reveal much about it yet, but I'll leave you with this image from a movie which is one of (several) sources of inspiration... Can you name the movie?
