🌱springing into action

Hello,

Spring has sprung here in Montreal, what a re-leaf! Why yes, I am a dad, why do you ask?

Every year at this time, I feel an amazing rush of optimism. Even though I've been through a large number of winters (no need to dwell on the exact number), there is something buried deep in my primate brain that instinctively reacts to the longer days and warmer temperatures. Do you know what I mean? The timing is great, as it should help me tackle the next steps on my publishing adventure.

It has already been about a month since the launch of The Legacy of Lethe (The Kiynan Chronicles book two)! A big thank you for these great reviews on Amazon:

A lot of sequels struggle to live up to the original. The Legacy of Lethe doesn’t have any of this difficulty. Where Conquest of Kiynan is an excellent debut novel, Legacy of Lethe demonstrates the author finding his voice and, frankly, smashing my preconceived notions of what the follow-up might be. Beautifully written, expertly plotted, and worth every second spent reading it. Can’t wait for book 3. - Brina

Like its predecessor The Conquest of Kiynan, The Legacy of Lethe is inventive, fun, mysterious, and hard to put down. Cannot wait to see what else this author, and this series, has in store. - C. Cordell

So what's next?

I'm about half way through the first draft of The Ordeals of Ornland (The Kiynan Chronicles book three). I will provide the blurb and other details in an upcoming newsletter. It will be a few more months before it is finished, but at that point, I plan to share the early draft with beta readers. If you're interested in joining the beta reading team, or just want to know what that means, please reply to this email!

I'm also working on new book covers for the whole series. The goal is to create something that is more obviously in the epic fantasy niche. Stay tuned for those, as my newsletter subscribers will be the first to see them!

Before the launch of book three, I will be launching a free supplement for running a game of Dungeons & Dragons (5th edition) in The Kiynan Chronicles setting. An early draft is already available here, if you're curious. I'll be making some important edits very soon to finalize it. Another thing to watch out for...

That's all for now! Until next time, take care!

Cheers,

Eric P. Caillibot
