Between the Pages

Hi

The days here in Adelaide have been hot and humid. I feel sorry for the cat in her black fur coat. She has sussed out the cool spots to frequent during the day. She has taken a preference to snoozing outside, and given her advanced age (22 or thereabouts) I check on her frequently through the day.

The cottage has ceiling fans, so they have been doing heavy duty both day and night as I manage the heat. I have also discovered that living near the coast means there is lots of wind. The extensions to my renovate cottage haven’t extended beyond the concrete slab, due to shortages of labour and materials. I have erected a couple of gazebos to extend my living area, but am fearful that they may become airborne today. The next stage of the build can’t come soon enough for me.

At least the builders aren’t distracting me from writing.

Pre-Release - Wild Destiny

I’m excited about my first new release for a couple of years. Wild Destiny will be available on 15 February, 2022 and can be pre-ordered now at https://amzn.to/3KY5fvO .That is through Amazon, though I will probably have it listed with Kobo, Barnes and Noble and Apple Books before that date.

The goddess brought them together; evil nearly tore them apart.

Pressure from the community drove Cassie to take unusual measures. If the viability of the clan was to continue, she had to take a partner, and then bear a child. She took matters into her own hands when she consulted the Goddess.

Daniel sought a quiet retreat in which to complete an assignment. The events he witnessed under a full moon in the remote clearing were intriguing. He knew enough to keep his mouth shut. His time in Harrow turned out to be more disruptive than he expected.

Cassie’s skills as an intuitive healer using bush essences and the magical properties of the orchids were evolving. There was only one way to assess the Muscal essence, and the sensory impact was greater than she’d imagined. The ripples spread further than expected as well.

Light and dark, good and evil. The undercurrents in Harrow could be surprising. Bring an outlier into the Clan, and trouble brews.

ARC Readers

I still need ARC readers for this book. What’s an ARC reader, you ask? It is someone who receives an Advance Reader Copy of a new book, and then after reading, posts a review on one of the nominated platforms, such as Amazon, Goodreads or Bookbub.

Those reviews are important to new readers who discover the book and want to know what others think before making a purchase. If you are interested in joining the ARC reader team, you can register with either BookSprout or Story Origin at the addresses listed below. This sites manage the ARC process on my behalf.

More Than Enough, by Moni Boyce

Her whole life, Lexie Campbell has played by the rules and lived up to everyone else’s expectations, never once stepping out of her comfort zone or putting her needs or wants first.

Divorced and ready for a little excitement in her life, she makes a playful bet to kiss the next guy who walks into the bar where she’s out on the town with her girlfriends. She wasn’t expecting that guy to be bad boy Erza Benedict himself.

Ezra has a reputation. Growing up on the wrong side of the tracks, he’s never been able to outrun his troublesome past no matter how hard he works to redeem himself.

As far as relationships go? Lexie is so far out of his league, but that doesn’t stop him from wanting more than one kiss or a one-night stand.

When Lexie comes back into his life by grand design and hires him to landscape the homes she has listed on the market, Ezra knows this is his shot. Unlike their one night together before, Ezra won’t settle for hiding their relationship for long.

Together they’ll have to learn to forget everyone else's expectations and live (and love) for themselves.

More Than Enough is part of the Blue Collar Romance series, a multi-author series of standalone novels. Welcome to Oak Bend, where these blue-collar hotties work hard and love even harder, especially when it comes to landing their happily ever after.

Savannah is hopeless; at least she feels that way sometimes.

At the age of eighteen, the emergence of your abilities reflects where you’re meant to be in society. Savannah tested so low that her results weren’t even on the chart. For three years, she lost herself in switching from job to job, trying to find where she belongs.

Until a chance encounter lands her in the strangest position she’s ever filled: Princess. Now, she has to brush up on her manners and learn everything she can to help impress the King of the Konkoma Territory and prove that her own Prince is competent enough that Konkoma doesn’t invade and take away everything that she knows.

Can the two of them work together to save their Kingdom or will a serious case of imposter syndrome prevent them from saving their loved ones and themselves?
