Between the Pages

Hi

I've had quiet times lately with my son and myself sent into quarantine, but that was a good time for writing. Unlike others who have been stuck in hotels or quarantine centres, we were home and so I could wander outside and tend to the garden.

The term ‘garden’ is almost a misnomer, as with the building work taking place, it’s not possible to plant anything in the ground. My garden is all pot based. Yesterday though, I dined on home-grown tomatoes, capsicum, strawberries, lettuce and spinach. This morning I noticed a small zucchini, and some eggplants are coming along nicely as well. 

Potted Garden

The advantage of a pot garden is that it an be moved around as required. I also have parsley, mint, basil and chives growing and they are used regularly. Because of limited room, I'll be focusing on a vertical garden (like the Mr Stacky you can see) and espaliered fruit trees.

Maison Angelique

I have been thrilled with sales of this book. At one point in the story, the story, the characters sit down to a meal of Chicken Cacciatore, with Braised Broccolini and Roasted Rosemary Potatoes. Sneak Peek - Wild Destiny
