30 years ago, I was 23, living in Germany, working as a secretary for the Royal Military Police by day and singing at functions on weekends. I’d just joined a 90s Eurodance group when, that very same week, I was offered a solo contract with Sony. I choose the group.

For years I had dreamt of being famous, of writing songs and singing my heart out. And suddenly, it felt like the dream was real.

But the truth wasn’t so glamorous. I toured the world for two years straight and behind the lights and stages I was left burnt out and exhausted. My music lawyer who warned me I’d be “an unhappy girl” was right.

Fast forward, though life has a funny way of turning around. In 2016 I reconnected with the original music producer, and by 2017 I was officially fronting the band again. And last year, in 2024, something I waited three decades for finally happened: 3 brand new remixes of our biggest hit.

1994 to 2024. 30 years. But the dream came true.

So if you’re reading this right now — take it as a sign. Don’t give up on whatever your dream is. It might take longer than you thought, but it’s still on its way to you.
