Encouragement for the Fall
Aug 19, 2020 5:38 am
Hi
We aren't back to normal yet. This may be longer than you've expected. Maybe you hoped the summer would be a season off and we could go back to school and sports (and work) in September ... but it is going to look different. Football has been delayed to spring. Socially distant and masked practices don't feel the same. Mental toughness has never been more needed.
So this is just a quick note of encouragement to stay flexible and diligent. There are many ways to achieve a goal, and we are all finding new ways to get there. Success will happen for those who embrace what is, let go of what was, and work intelligently for what is to be. My WHOOP strap says I am more recovered after meditation ... stay consistent with your exercise and stress management. It can be hard to stick to a routine - especially when the world around you keeps changing ...
I'm in this with you. I miss the in-person consults but at the same time feel great about my new online practice helping me reach more of you safely. (And to be honest, many of you appreciate not having to commute to my office!). I've also been able to help more athletes, musicians and other high performers across the country with a convenient and secure online consulting practice. I am grateful to extend my reach and have a greater impact. If you are thinking of mental training - now is the time. More on my updated website here.
(... and be sure to open next week's e-mail for an even BIGGER impact announcement).
... In other news ... I passed my recertification exam with flying colors!
CMPC certification recognizes the knowledge and skill consultants need to meet the expectations of athletes, coaches, and performers in other settings (e.g., performing artists, military personnel, business executives). CMPCs make a difference by helping athletes and performers reduce performance anxiety, improve concentration and communication, build confidence, and set goals.
Why do I renew my certification? So I can be my best at helping you be yours.
I look forward to seeing you online soon ... and be sure to open next week's e-mail for a special opportunity you won't want to miss!
Best,
Dr Eddie
