Tornado season in the Midwest is officially here.
I know this because I've already been in the basement twice this month which usually doesn't happen until May. The tornado kit is stocked with two flashlights, extra batteries, snacks, weather radio, snacks, water bottle, and a whistle. Oh, and did I say snacks?
The morning after hunkering down in the basement, we woke up to snow on the ground. Seventy-five degrees one day, thirty degrees the next! Aside from the wild swings in temperature, life is a little more even-keeled around here. I'm working on the next book, everyone is healthy (at least for now!), and as I write this, we're prepping for a trip.
Looking on the bright side of spring storm season, it inspired a scene in the Port Chance novella I'm working on. You'll see a sneak peak as soon as I flesh it out a little more!

The Port Chance series is growing with two new additions yet to come this year! I'm currently working on a already-mentioned prequel novella (coming in May), as well as Christmas in Port Chance which will be released in October.
