I did a thing yesterday. A never-done-before task that elicited gasps and high-fives from those close to me. It was painful, but necessary.
I weeded enough books from my shelves to fill two grocery bags (*fans face*).
There are simply too many books in this house. There, I said it.
Most were writing-related non-fiction books and children's books I've read and was ready to pass on. There's a literacy organization nearby called Books to Benefit which takes donations year round. Their sales are held in June and November, and proceeds from the sales benefit literacy projects in central Illinois. I'll be filling more bags this month as soon as I recover from this round. And there are plenty of books to keep the Clear My Shelves giveaways running for a long time! The house feels more spacious already!
So, what book news do I have to share this time? Well, if you haven't yet picked up LOVE, LIES and MISTLETOE, there's no better time! It's currently $0.99 through next Sunday (6/18). And if you click the graphic below, you'll find 40 more holiday-related books, all priced at $0.99!
There's also a Christmas in July party taking place all month in the Clean Christmas Romance Readers Facebook group. Every day a new author takes over the group from 6 to 8 p.m. (CST) to introduce you to their Christmas books, post games, and share giveaways. I'm scheduled for Sunday, 7/18. I hope to see you there!
