We're in the middle of a big snowstorm today and tomorrow⏤Winter Storm Landon, according to the Illinois governor. I had no idea we named our snowstorms in Illinois, though I suppose it's a punchy PR tactic to get the media's attention. Briggs and I went out earlier to play (he's not quite sure about all this white, fluffy stuff) then I got busy with the shovel. In all, we're supposed to get between 12-18 inches. My hibiscus bloomed for the occasion, reminding me that spring and all things green aren't that far off. I gave it a little trim and some extra water for its trouble.
In book news, I have the novella back from the editor so I'm working on edits this week. This book is for the special promotion I've joined with dozens of other authors, coming to you April 1st. It's another Blueberry Point Romance and you'll be the first to learn the details when I'm given the go-ahead to share.
I've also been working on a short novella (long short story?) called Lilac Crush for the Blueberry Point Romance Collection I'll be releasing this spring. This seasonal collection will include four books: Lilac Crush (spring), Love, Lies and Fireflies (which is available now), Promise Me October (fall), and Her Northshore Christmas (this one I distributed two years ago in my reader's group). I'm excited to include recipes in this volume too, many mentioned in the Blueberry Point novels but original recipes linked to these new stories too.
