August 25, 2021
It's typical in writer circles that typing 'The End' on a manuscript means a celebratory drink is in order. In one online group that I belong to, my writer friends post a photo of their drink of choice in front their laptop or computer with 'The End' prominently displayed on the screen. I've never done this despite having written 11 books. Mostly because I'm not keen on calling attention to myself but also because the memory of one very expensive accident involving a can of Dr. Pepper and a six-month-old Mac still makes me shudder.
But Love, Lies and Lemon Pie is officially off my desk as of last weekend so I indulged in a large iced vanilla latte on Monday (FAR away from my laptop). Now for a month of technical, not-very-fun things to get the book ready for sale. In the mean time, I'm back to working on A Forever Kiss in Silver Leaf Falls, the book for the new novella series I'm a part of which debuts THIS FRIDAY with the release of Meg Easton's Coming Home to Silver Leaf Falls. Check out the gorgeous covers of these books! Also, clicking on the photo below will take you to the series page where you can read the descriptions, order the first book and pre-order the rest!
With the release of LOVE, LIES and LEMON PIE next month, I'm looking ahead to 2022 and what it means for the series. There is one more novel to write (the cover is finished) and a collection of four novellas which will release in March. But a new series is on the horizon which is thrilling but also a little bittersweet. It means I'll be saying goodbye to the fictional lakeshore town that I've grown to love while writing these last eight books and two novellas. Hendricks is near and dear to my heart; it's a place I'd love to live and I hope you've felt right at home too reading the Hearts in Hendricks and Blueberry Point series.
LOVE, LIES and LEMON PIE comes out September 28th. You can pre-order now to get it delivered to your Kindle the minute it's published.

Would you like to see snippets of my works-in-progress? Help me name characters and other elements in my novels? And be a part of a small, enthusiastic Facebook group who eats and breathes books? (okay, I'm kidding about the eating part but I bet there are a few of us who has sniffed a brand new book or two). If this sounds like a slice of heaven, join my Facebook readers group.

The Sweet Summer Days book promo is coming to an end next week. If you haven't looked through the selection, now's your chance. I'd definitely recommend Melissa McClone's A Slice of Summer if you didn't pick it up in the last newsletter. Her cover of scrumptious desserts drew me right in!
Until next time!
