Ah, August. The dog days of summer.
I researched where the term came from just now because if I knew it at one time, I've forgotten. We can credit the Egyptians for noting that the dog star Sirius, the brightest star in the Canis Major constellation, rises alongside the Sun during the hottest months in the Northern Hemisphere. And you pictured dogs lounging in the shade, panting up a storm while sipping sweet tea, didn't you?
Now, onto books! After sitting on this far too long, I'm finally ready to share the cover for LOVE, LIES and LEMON PIE!
