July 30, 2025
I returned from vacation to a sad little garden.
My cherry tomatoes were the size of peas. Something had eaten holes in the Brussel sprout leaves. And the summer squash were ignored by the bees as none of them sprouted once the blossoms shriveled up.
That'll teach me for going on vacation.
The world of writing books and getting them into the hands of readers didn't slow down, though. I also came home to an inbox filled with exciting opportunities. Some are getting off the ground as you read this. Some are scheduled for later in the year. All are exciting, and I can't wait to share some of them with you, so here we go:
Here's the cover reveal for MEET ME IN PORT CHANCE, coming your way in August! Wilette always captures the heart and soul of the Port Chance series in each adorable cover she creates. I loved working with her to show off some of the goodies in Jumpin' John Goodwin's store, The Shoppe of Curious Goods.
This novella-length story goes to the editor on August 12th. I'll be sharing the link here when it's ready. The best news is IT'LL BE FREE to my subscribers!
A little teaser: Adelia Goodwin (Jumpin's daughter) claims an Eiffel Tower charm for herself in the remnants of an estate sale until a handsome widower shows up looking to recover the misplaced bauble for his disgruntled preteen daughter.
If you've yet to dive into the first three Port Chance books, you can read more about them here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CLN6N729

I'm recommending new releases by two authors below. While I haven't read these particular books yet (they're on my sky-high pile, though), Cathryn Brown and Victorine Lieske are two of my favorite writers.
Enjoy these last two days of July, and I'll see you in August!
