This is a crazy-busy week for me as I'm in the midst of house-shopping for my mom who will be making a cross-country move in the near future. She's as anxious as I am to find her a place to live, so most of my focus has been on touring apartments and condos last week and these next few days. Writing time has screeched to a semi-halt, but I've scheduled some events because they're can't-miss opportunities to staying connected to my dear readers, so here we go:

I remember writing both of these books in the heat of summer which always challenges my mindset! Writing about snowy landscapes and festive celebrations like Christmas parades and gingerbread-decorating parties was a fun alternative when planning our own Fourth of July celebration in 90-degree weather. Also, I often found that my characters weren't wearing any winter attire until I went back through the manuscript during revisions! Could it have been because it was sleeveless shirt and shorts weather in central Illinois?
