March 30, 2022
Are you still here?
Forgive my crazy-long absence this month! March was not kind to me health wise. I've prided myself these last two years for not getting sick at all, but the germ gremlins finally caught up to me. It wasn't COVID, and I thought I could lick whatever kept me coughing, sneezing and wheezing without a visit to the doctor, but I eventually needed antibiotics. Our dear granddaughter ended up in the hospital for three days too with influenza and pneumonia. Thankfully, we're both well now.
Needless to say, these last few weeks weren't very productive. I did manage to turn in another novella for the seasonal anthology coming out in May, and I'm deep into the Promise Me October novella now which will be included too. I've also been plotting (which means a lot of thinking and staring off into space) the Christmas novel coming in October.
Below is the beee-autiful cover for the Blueberry Point Collection (release date May 26th)! Shaela Odd at Blue Water Books has done such phenomenal work on this series' covers. These short-but-oh-so-sweet novellas feature some of the side characters who've made appearances in the full-length novels. You may have read Love, Lies and Fireflies already (the summer novella), but the collection also includes Lilac Crush (spring), Promise Me October (fall), and Her North Shore Christmas (can you guess the season?). I'll be sharing more about the storyline and characters in future newsletters as we get closer to release day.

What I'm reading this week: I picked up the Sweet Escape (see below in the Sweet & Swoony Recs because I haven't read most of the novels in this collection. I'm also recommending Meg Easton's #2 book in her new series because it released today and it literally sounds so sweet (how delicious does this story sound with Belgium chocolates in the mix?)
Happy Reading!
