I'm starting seeds this week. It's the first time I'm trying to grow lettuce indoors under a grow light. We go through so many greens in our house that it makes sense for me to at least try my hand at it. I ordered a salad blend from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds a few months ago, excited to experiment. Then the holidays came and went, I had a writing deadline, we got the new pup, and the seed packets got buried in the junk pile on the little kitchen desk. But the first day of spring is less than a month away and I'm feeling the urge to get my fingers dirty. If all goes well, we'll have salads for days with the number of trays I plan to plant.
Speaking of spring, last March the members of my Facebook reader's group and I had a blast with month-long reading challenges to celebrate National Reading Month. There were 2-3 easy goals for the week issued every Monday. All readers had to do was comment on the Monday post to be entered into the weekly contest for prizes. There was also a monthly grand prize awarded for participation in the weekly games. Here's your chance to win gift cards, books, and other goodies. I'd love for you to join the fun!

Several of you alerted me about the non-working link for the Sweet Single Parent Book Promo last week. I thought I'd wait a week and try again today instead of sending out another e-mail the same day. Sooo...for those who love those single-parent romance stories, here's a sweet promotion with almost fifty books to choose from. LOVE, LIES and LULLABIES is in this one. If you haven't read it yet, I'm betting you'd fall in L
VE with Chase Ford and his precocious daughter Emmaline. Together, they sure capture the heart of Wynne Terry when she returns to Hendricks for their high school class reunion.
Check out Love, Lies and Lullabies along with the rest of the books by clicking on the graphic above.
Happy Reading!
