Hello!
The cold snap seems to be behind us, but Monday and Tuesday I got stuck in Iowa City due to much of Illinois being declared a skating rink. The good news is that the follow-up appointment to check how my knee healed from meniscus surgery was great. I'm back to walking the dog around the lake, my main goal all along.
My husband and I are packing up to head to Tucson soon. He's working in the geology lab on the University of Arizona campus. I'll be checking out the vendors at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, visiting The Book Stop, and working on the new book of course. I haven't been to Tucson since before we married so it's been a while. If you have any recommendations on where to eat and/or shop, reply to this e-mail and let me know.

I took a little detour these last few weeks from working on Apple Blossom Dreams (Book #2, Port Chance). My book, Love Like Water, was my first venture into writing romance back in 2017-18. I've learned a lot about the genre and reader expectations since then as anyone does in their chosen profession if the goal is to grow and get better. Adding content and reworking some of the scenes have been on the back burner for a while now, and I finally decided to dive back into the book full-time once the calendar turned to the new year. The updated version will be out in a few weeks, and with a much-awaited proposal scene!
Apple Blossom Dreams, the follow-up to That Woman on Thistledown Lane, is still on track to publish in late March. Its cover reveal is still coming sometime soon-ish when I finalize the book's blurb.

Congratulations to Judee E. and Angela K. who won the paperback copies of Rachel Hanna's This One for Me and Kristan Higgins Anything For You respectively. Thanks to everyone who e-mailed their choices.

I'm between books at the moment since I just finished Just Don't Fall by Emma St. Clair (I loved it so it's a sweet rec below). I gave my husband my new hardcover of The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store by James McBride since it's been on a ton of reading lists. He's still reading it (but not fast enough!)

Just Don't Fall is a small town, closed door hockey romcom with all the fake dating, brother's best friend vibes. You'll get smoking chemistry and characters to root for but NO spice. (Yes, you read that right--a low spice hockey romance.) Perfect for fans of sports romance who want a less heat.
"This was a perfect grumpy/sunshine romantic comedy! I loved the chemistry and the shared past between Parker and Logan so much!" - Amazon review
