Traveling with littles is...deep breath...exhausting!
But it's also wildly fun, hilarious, and looking at the world from the perspective of a four- and two-year-old, a non-stop adventure.
My husband and I spent five days camping with the grand girls and their parents this past week in Door County, WI. Tent camping is not for the faint of heart. Tent camping with toddlers takes a large degree of patience, mental preparation, and enough clothes for 3-4 changes a day. No joke.
If you've never been to Door County I highly recommend it. We went to The Farm (a working farm/petting zoo) where baby pigs and goats ran amok among visitors looking to be bottle fed. We picked cherries, hiked, attended a rooter festival, and spent a day at the beach. And the food! Craft breweries, bakeries, and outdoor eateries had popped up everywhere since we took our kids twenty years ago. And there were still goats grazing on the roof at Al Johnson's Restaurant in Sister Bay just like they were when we first visited the bustling little town on the Wisconsin peninsula.
In book news, I'll have the preorder for The Woman on Thistledown Lane ready by next week! I'm already planning posts about the book and new series that I'll share in my Facebook group beginning in August. Join me there if you want to see it in the making!
Also, there's less than a week left to download the Blueberry Point novels if you have a Kindle Unlimited subscription. They will still be for sale on Amazon but no longer in the subscription service since Amazon is making it more difficult for authors to be exclusive only to them. This means the books also will now be for sale on Barnes & Noble, Apple, Kobo, Google Play and other stores by July 21st.
