Call to Duty, Clear My Shelves and Last Call for Christmas

image

July 21, 2021

When it's time for grandma duty, everything else takes the backseat.

I write best in the morning; it's when I feel the most creative. There's something about the freshness of a new day that helps my mind get to the place it needs to be in order to write. Well, that and two mugs of a dark roast.

But I needed to watch the girls for a few hours yesterday morning so I put my 1,000-word daily goal on hold until the afternoon and headed their way. The photo on the left was taken shortly after I got there. Three hours later (right photo), I look worn out. My hair is limp and I'm sunburned from a hot and humid trip to the park. But those grandgirl smiles are the best, aren't they?

Now onto book news! The six-book novella series that I'm a part of is getting ready to launch. Book #1 will be out next month, then subsequent books will release every month until December. I'm reading Book #2 at the moment and it's so fun; I know you'll love it! Get ready to see the gorgeous covers in the next newsletter!

I've seen more Christmas in July events and sales this month than I have in previous years, haven't you? I had no idea it was a thing until I actually had a Christmas book to offer. Sales of Love, Lies and Mistletoe last week were brisk when it was marked down to $0.99. If you're still shopping for holiday books, here's one last look at a group of Christmas books. I hope you find something you like! (click on the image below)

You'll see Everyone is Beautiful back in my Clear the Shelves Giveaway this month even though someone technically won it in June. I just never heard back from the winner. I'll remind you that you have 48 hours to respond to the You Won! email before the book goes back onto the shelf. I have four books to offer this time:

Everyone is Beautiful, Katherine Center

44 Cranberry Point, Debbie Macomber

A Cure for Dreams, Kaye Gibbons

The Hero, Robyn Carr

I’ll pick TWO lucky winners from those who send me their choice by replying to this e-mail. Please take note: all of these are lovingly USED books. Sorry, non-US friends, I can only ship within the US. If by chance I choose someone outside the country, I’ll offer a $5 Amazon gift card instead.

The contest closes on Sunday night 7/25/21, 7 p.m. CST. Winners will be notified on Monday via e-mail and have 48 hours to respond. Winners will also be announced in the next newsletter.
