Hello Dear Readers!
Busy, busy October days!
I'm watching the squirrels scurry around outside, hoarding nuts and seeds before the cold weather arrives. The brief taste of cold last week made me switch on the boiler and throw on layers, but the eighties are coming back this week -- BOO!
A trip to Texas is on the horizon soon, so I'm packing my summer clothes. We're anticipating a yard filled with leaves when we come back home, so I'm trying to do some raking before Saturday. Everything is incredibly dry here. There was a combine harvesting corn two blocks away over the weekend and I could see a dusty haze wafting through town. Vacuuming and dusting the furniture is an almost-daily chore if I want to enjoy open windows which I do when the weather is as beautiful as it is this week.
