Hello everyone:
It feels maah-velous to don my fleece jacket on these chilly mornings after last week's heat wave. I hope the cool weather is here to stay. We've bought little pumpkins on our last few trips to the grocery store with the intention of painting them with the grand girls. Well, the middle grand girl lobbed one at a tree trunk (can't blame her; she's been doing that for weeks now with the fallen fruit from the apple tree). So, the surface scuff was an open invitation to the neighborhood squirrels to devour the rest of the pumpkin. I've brought the other pumpkins inside, and we'll use washable paint on the others so we can clean them off after halloween and put them outside for the wildlife.
For you Kindle Unlimited users, here's some good news: my two series which have been available at all ebook retailers for the past year and a half will be back in the program by the middle of October. The Hearts in Hendricks series is already in KU, but it will take a while to move the Blueberry Point series again. While I've enjoyed reaching new readers through Apple Books, Kobo, and Barnes and Noble, it's a better fit for me to focus on one storefront going forward. Check out the series page here for the Hearts in Hendricks books.
If you haven't yet grabbed the Blueberry Point e-books while they're on Barnes and Noble, Apple, KOBO, etc., the links for all of my books are at the bottom of this e-mail.

It's Week 4 for the Coffee Loft series releases! Congratulations to authors Susanne Ash and Tia Marlee on their new releases this week! They're in Kindle Unlimited too. Here's a little peek at Susanne's book which released yesterday:
"Welcome back." Jake's voice is as rich and deep as the aroma of coffee, sugar, and cinnamon swirling around us.
"I couldn't stay away for long." I smile, feeling decidedly like a teenager with a crush. Hopefully, with at least a hint of more confidence.
"I'm not surprised." He grins and my heartbeat ratchets up another notch. "Spiced vanilla latte?"
"Make it Lofty," I say, secretly pleased.
"Coming right up. Anything else for you this morning?" he asks as I hand him my credit card.
I glance across the pastries on display. "I'll take one of those cinnamon rolls, please."
"Good choice." His eyes sparkle, drawing me in. They are a deeper blue than I remember, with tiny flecks of gold reflecting the light from the ceiling fixture above. It reminds me a little of my favorite van Gogh painting.
Our fingers touch when he hands me the sticky pastry on a plate. My heart skips a beat and I bite my lip to keep from saying something I'll regret immediately. "Thanks," I mumble instead and turn to head to the table I sat at yesterday.
Unfortunately, it's occupied by a couple who look only a few sips into a lengthy coffee date. At least I hope so for his sake. He looks smitten with the petite blonde across from him.
"There's an open seat over here."
I follow Jake's outstretched hand to the bar beside the counter and the open stool. "Thanks. I'm Sophia, by the way."
"I know," he says, returning my card. "I'm Jake."
"Nice to meet you, Jake."
"Likewise." His head turns when a group of women enters the shop. "Grab a seat. I'll bring your Lofty Latte out as soon as it's ready."
I drop my cinnamon roll on the counter and hop onto the tall barstool he'd pointed out. My computer bag is securely stashed below my feet, and I look around. It's not a bad spot. From my current vantage point, I can see most of the coffee shop, including a full view of the wishing wall that grabbed my attention during my previous visit.
I'm full of questions by the time he shows up with my drink. "Mind if I ask you some questions about this?" I point to the wall.
"Not at all. Fire away." He leans against the counter.

Don't you just love that cute mug wall on the cover of You Mocha Me Crazy by author Tia Marlee below? I so want one in my kitchen. This book releases tomorrow (Thursday). If you love swoony romcoms with no swears and level 2 intimacy, this one's for you!
Love brews where coffee steams and hammers swing in the heartwarming tale of Aurora's Coffee Loft dreams and a contractor's chance at redemption.
Here's a little excerpt for you:
Lacey talks a mile a minute about her different ideas, and I’m laughing when I spot a well-built man with a head of sandy blonde hair and broad shoulders across the street. My heart stutters in my chest. I don’t know that I’ve ever had such a powerful reaction to a man before, let alone one I’ve only seen from afar . . . and across a street.
The handsome man turns, giving me a better view of his face. He looks so familiar. I squint my eyes and try to get a closer look. It looks just like a grown-up version of a twelve-year-old . . . No way. It can’t be! My stomach knots in panic. This cannot be happening. Why is he here? He turns his head toward the shop, and I drop to the floor on my hands and knees.
Please don’t come in here.
Lacey’s chatter has distracted Reid, and he doesn’t notice I’ve become a major speed bump. He snags his foot on my leg and goes down. Hard. Right on top of me.
“Ooph!” I grunt, as he rolls off of me.
“What in the world?” Lacey shrieks, spinning around and seeing us both sprawled out on the checkered linoleum. “What happened?”
Reid groans and pushes to standing. “Aurora, are you okay? I’m so sorry, I didn’t see you there.” He brushes himself off, and pulls his suit coat’s sleeves down before reaching a hand out to help me up.
“What are you doing on the floor?” Lacey asks, her face a mask of confusion. “Are you hurt?”
“I’m fine,” I say, frantically trying to think of a reason I’d be on the floor. “I thought I saw a piece of broken glass. Mr. Sanders dropped his glass yesterday, and you know you can never get it all.” I take Reid’s proffered hand, push to my feet, and brush my hands on my jeans. “Looks like it was a trick of the light.” I risk a glance out the door and am relieved to see Gorgeous—I mean, Bradley is nowhere in sight. “Sorry about that, Reid.”

I stopped at a Little Free Library on one of my regular routes the other day. There were no romances stocked, though plenty of kids books so I grabbed a winter-themed story for the grand girls. I left Anita Shreve's The Stars are Fire and two Fern Michaels books. Have you visited a Little Free Library lately?
