Hey ,
Most times, the thing slowing us down doesn’t look like danger.
It looks like comfort.
When something is comfortable, it feels safe.
It feels familiar.
It feels like home.
But here’s the truth people don’t like to admit.
Comfort can be a cage.
You can be doing something that “works” today and still be stuck.
You can be in a routine that feels productive and still not be productive.
You can be good at something and still not be improving.
A lot of us hide behind statements like:
“This is just how I am.”
“This is what I’m good at.”
“This is my style.”
But growth doesn’t respect that.
Let me make it practical.
Some people say, “I’m not good at video content.”
So they stick to text.
They stick to images.
They stick to what they know.
But the only reason you think you’re “good” at what you’re doing now…
is because you’ve done it consistently.
That’s it.
Not because you were born gifted.
Not because it came naturally.
But because you stayed there long enough to get used to it.
When I started intermittent fasting, it was uncomfortable.
The first week felt like madness.
Second week felt like stress.
But now?
It feels normal.
And now I’m thinking of pushing myself further.
Why?
Because discomfort eventually becomes your new normal.
That’s the part people miss.
You are not bad at new things.
You are just not familiar with them yet.
Comfort feels good, but it doesn’t grow you.
Ease feels nice, but it doesn’t stretch you.
I’m not saying suffer.
I’m not saying chase pain.
I’m saying this:
If you’re always comfortable, you’re probably not growing.
Try the thing that scares you.
Try the thing you keep postponing.
Try the thing you feel you’re “not built for.”
But don’t try it once.
Don’t try it twice.
Do it consistently.
That’s when real growth happens.
Comfort and progress rarely live in the same house.
Choose wisely.
Your Fave,
Darasimi
