Hey ,
Today isn't about growth strategies or mindset shifts.
Today is about someone who's been at the center of my own growth, the person who's walked this journey with me, challenged me, and made me believe in the life I'm building.
Her name is Ideraoluwa Akosua Adedayo Falade.
And today is her birthday.
I know this might feel different from the usual, but hear me out.
Because if there's one thing I've learned about growth, it's that you don't do it alone. You need people who see you clearly, your potential and your blind spots and still choose to push you forward.
Idera is that person for me.
I can't even imagine what my life looked like before her. Not because it was bad, but because she's become so woven into who I am now that it's hard to remember a version of me without her influence.
I've watched her grow into the most beautiful, dedicated person I know. She's a content creator, strategist, and social media expert who shows up with intention every single day. But more than her work, it's how she moves through life that inspires me.
She's deliberate. She's thoughtful.
And honestly? She makes me want to be better.
Not in a way that feels like pressure, but in a way that feels like possibility. Like I'm capable of more than I've settled for. Like the future we're building together, the family, the life, the impact, is worth every hard choice, every early morning, every moment of doubt.
She's probably my biggest motivation. Because when you love someone deeply, you start thinking differently. You don't just want to grow for yourself anymore. You want to build a life that honors them. You want to create something they can be proud of. Something they can rest in.
That's what she does for me. She reminds me what I'm building for.
So today, I want to celebrate her,not just as my partner, but as someone who embodies what this newsletter is really about: growth, dedication, and showing up for the life you want to create.
If you're reading this, I'd love for you to join me in wishing her a happy birthday.
Drop a comment, send some love her way, or connect with her on Instagram at @ideraoluwaakosua. She's building something beautiful over there, and I think you'd love following along.
And to Ideraoluwa,
Babe, I know you're reading this, thank you. For believing in me. For growing with me. For being the kind of partner who makes "better" feel possible.
I love you so much. Happy birthday My Love. Thank you for being Home to me.
To everyone else, here's my reminder for today: the people you choose to grow with matter. Surround yourself with people who don't just support your dreams, but challenge you to live up to them. People who make you want to build something worth keeping.
That's the real work.
Talk soon,
Darasimi
P.S. Seriously, go wish her a happy birthday. She deserves all the love today. 💙
