Hey ,
A while back, I reached out to a protégé of mine who is doing really well for himself, and I asked him a simple question:
“Who exactly are you pouring into?”
Because here’s what I’ve noticed.
In this age and time, almost everyone is so focused on their own life, their own growth, their own hustle… that we forget to impact the lives of those around us.
And listen, I get it. Life can be overwhelming. Sometimes you feel like you’re barely holding it together yourself.
But here’s the truth: you don’t have to “arrive” before you can help someone.
Even if you’re still figuring out your path, there’s always someone who can benefit from your experiences.
- Maybe it’s a younger colleague at work.
- Maybe it’s a friend who’s one step behind you.
- Maybe it’s someone who just needs encouragement.
I’m not talking about social media contents (even though those can help).
I mean personal, intentional pouring.
Choosing someone and saying:
“I’ll commit to helping you. I’ll commit to seeing you grow.”
It doesn’t always take money.
Sometimes it’s time.
Sometimes it’s advice.
Sometimes it’s just presence.
But whatever form it takes, impact matters.
Because at the end of the day…
What’s life if we don’t make impact?
What’s life if we only think about ourselves?
What’s life without helping others?
So here’s my challenge for you this weekend:
Who’s one person you can intentionally pour into starting today?
It doesn’t have to be big. It just has to be real.
Hit reply and let me know, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
