Hello !

A short email today, since in about 30 minutes I'll be hopping into the fire truck sleigh with Santa to do our annual gift-giving to all the kids in our community.

Back in 2015, Santa Bloom took over the role from the former Santa (who was our fire department's Deputy Chief and the real-world inspiration for the grumpy, big-hearted old guy, Murray, in my first romance, First In), to give a gift to every child 12 and younger and a poinsettia to all the elders in our little village.

When we started, there were only about twenty kids. This year, we've had to limit giving gifts to the 10 and youngers. And even then, Santa will have over seventy-five wee ones on his lap this afternoon. My job is to find the right gift from under the tree and hand it to my man, since they're all specially chosen!

This is my favorite day of the holiday season. So. much. joy! (And a few freaked out babies).
