I'll be back on Saturday, probably later in the day since Mr. Bloom and I are doing our annual dress up as Santa and Mrs. Claus. There are 76 kids under the age of 10 in our village—which has fewer than 300 homes.

Kids are still outnumbered, two-to-one by canines, but holy moly that's a lot of bending down to pick gifts up from under the tree.

Last year, my thigh muscles were so overworked I could not walk up or down stairs for three days! Seriously, I had to bump myself down on my butt to let the dogs out and walk backwards up the stairs to get back to my office!
