Did you find it too basic?

This weekend something interesting happened.
One of my lead magnets, my 2-day weight training plan for cyclists, got a surge of downloads.
Way more than I expected.
Now normally, that’s a good problem to have…
But there was one issue.
Because of the volume, I directed a lot of people to my beginner weight training plan.
And if that included you, you might have opened it and thought:
"This feels a bit basic…"
And you wouldn’t be wrong.
Most cyclists over 40 don’t actually need more complexity.
They need the right structure, applied consistently.
But…
Once you’ve nailed the basics, you do need to progress.
That’s where most riders get stuck.
They either:
- Stay too basic for too long
- Or jump into something too advanced too quickly
So to help bridge that gap, I’ve pulled something together for you.
I broke down the exact weight training session I personally run twice per week in one of my recent weekly newsletters.
This is the next step up.
Something you can plug into your week when:
- You’re riding easy
- Or taking a day off the bike

Use it as a guide, not a rulebook.
Because the goal isn’t just to lift weights
It’s to build strength that actually transfers to the bike.
