The Power of Daily Meditation in Cycling

Hello ,

There's an old saying that the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Or, in our case, a single pedal stroke.

That's what I've realized in the last couple of days, ever since I started a new ritual - daily meditation.

Yesterday, just after my second day of meditating for 10 minutes, I headed out to join my friends Jamie and Simon for some laps at the iconic Regents Park. Now, if you've ever cycled in London, you know it's a bit like dancing with dragons - rush-hour traffic, erratic drivers, and whatnot.

As I was cycling to the park, a couple of impatient drivers almost gave me a heart attack. But here's the twist - I was surprisingly calm. I wasn't reactive or aggressive, I was just... present. I felt a sense of control over my situation, a sense of peace, even amidst the chaos. All this after just two days of meditation - imagine what 100 days could do!

Despite our legs still being a bit sore from our weekend cycle to Canterbury, the ride in the park was fantastic. Simon led the way, I caught up with Jamie, and we all took turns at the front. Our ride was mostly in zone three - a good workout in a short time, a great way to start the day.

Progress can happen in a short period of time. We often prevent ourselves from starting anything new because we fear we might not see results for weeks or months.

But small wins can happen almost instantly - like my newfound calm in the face of impatient drivers - and they can give you the confidence and momentum you need to keep going.

You see, you don't need motivation to start. You just need momentum, and that momentum will give you the motivation you need to keep going.

And this is where I come in.

With my one-to-one coaching, I can help you build that momentum. I can guide you through tailored training plans, support your nutritional needs, and help you develop mindset habits that will not only make you a better cyclist but also bring about long-term, healthy lifestyle changes.

Just like I found calm amidst the chaos, you too can find your balance, your momentum, your small wins.
