A Sunday Stroll, Ozempic, and the Secret to Lasting Change

Ever had one of those conversations that really makes you think? I just did, and I can't wait to share it with you.

This past Sunday, I met up with my old friend Ben for a long walk along the canal in London.

Ben's just moved back from Germany, and let me tell you, it was great to catch up. We strolled and talked, even indulged in a proper Sunday lunch at a London pub.

Now, Ben's been training to be a hypnotherapist. In fact, he's pretty good at it – I've had sessions with him myself (highly recommended).

As we chatted over our roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, our conversation took an interesting turn.

We started talking about Ozempic and its impact on people's health.

Ozempic has been making waves as a "miracle" weight loss solution.

But here's the thing – our discussion made me realise something crucial about health, weight loss, and even cycling performance.

So many of us are constantly seeking quick fixes and magic solutions to reach our goals.

Does this sound familiar? But what if I told you that sometimes, the answer isn't in doing more, but in doing less?

Here's what I mean.

Ozempic might suppress hunger temporarily, but does it really solve the emotional or lifestyle triggers behind overeating?

Not really. It's like putting a Band-Aid on a wound without cleaning it first – it might cover the problem, but it doesn't solve it.

And you know what? The same principle applies to our health, weight loss efforts, and even our performance on the bike.

We're always asking, "What more can I do?" when sometimes, the real solution is in simplifying and getting to the root of the issue.

Think about it. How many times have you tried a new diet, a new training plan, or a new supplement, only to find yourself back at square one a few months later?

It's frustrating, isn't it?

That's because sustainable change doesn't come from quick fixes or temporary solutions.

It comes from addressing the root causes of our challenges.

It's about understanding why we make the choices we do, and then making small, consistent changes that add up over time.

So, what does this mean for you and your cycling journey?

Well, if you're tired of chasing quick fixes and want to build real, lasting change in your health, weight, and cycling strength, it might be time to try a different approach.

Instead of looking for the next big thing, why not focus on simplifying your routine and addressing the root causes of your challenges?

P.S. Still not sure? Just think about where you could be in 6 months if you start addressing the root causes now.
