The Comment That Changed How I Think About Progress...

As someone who is passionate about helping my clients achieve their fitness goals, I'm always eager to learn from their experiences.
Recently, I received a comment on LinkedIn that has really resonated with me.
One of my followers mentioned that after reading my previous email about cutting out distractions, they took a few simple steps like deleting cookies, muting social accounts, and reducing notifications.
They said they almost instantly felt a renewed sense of mental clarity and focus.
That comment stuck with me because it's something I talk about constantly with my clients.
We get so caught up in what everyone else is doing - the latest training trend, the newest supplement, the next "must-do" workout we see scrolling through Instagram.
And before you know it, you're chopping and changing your plan every couple of weeks.
You're busy, sure. But you're not actually moving forward.
Recently, I was reading a book called The Art of the Good Life, and one of the lessons about health really resonated with me.
It made me realise that when it comes to improving our wellbeing, we often focus too much on what we need to add - the latest supplements, gadgets, or fitness trends.
But sometimes, the most impactful changes come from removing the unnecessary clutter and distractions from our lives.
Someone might be asking about sleep supplements while drinking alcohol late at night, smashing caffeine all afternoon, scrolling their phone in bed, and having zero wind-down routine.
In most cases, removing a few of those things will have a far bigger impact than adding a supplement, a tracker, or another gadget.
In my experience, simple habits done consistently tend to be far more effective than constantly changing, complicated plans.
Focusing on a few key routines can often lead to better results than bouncing from one new trend to the next.
This applies just as much to your training as it does to your life.
Less clutter. More clarity. Better results.
Think about your own situation for a second. What's one thing you could remove this week?
One notification you could turn off?
One habit you could cut back on?
One source of noise you could eliminate?
Sometimes that single decision is what unlocks everything else.
If you want help simplifying your training, cutting out the noise, and focusing on what actually moves the needle - without the overwhelm - I'd love to chat.
