Indulge in Your Holiday Without Derailing Your Fitness Goals

Hey

I know how it feels to come back from vacation having undone all your hard work. But what if I told you there's a way to indulge without derailing your fitness progress?

This week, my partner and I embarked on our annual treat – a week-long, half-board stay at a nice hotel in Crete. Sun, sea, and relaxation were guaranteed.

But you know how it goes, right? The food is irresistible, and before you know it, you're staring at an extra half-stone on the scale when you get home. Sound familiar? I know it's a common issue many of our clients face.

So, how did we manage to indulge without overindulging? It's simpler than you might think.

First off, we stayed active. We didn't do any grueling workouts - we just went on a nice hike to explore the area. A couple of hours walking in the mountains, discovering charming villages – it's great for our health and gives us a more authentic holiday experience.

Win-win, wouldn't you agree?

Secondly, we filled our plates with nutrient-dense foods. Greece is a paradise for fresh veggies, and I absolutely loaded up on Greek salad.

By the end of each meal, I was full – but full on wholesome, nutritious foods rather than calorie-rich bread and pastas. And since I don't drink alcohol, that saved me a ton of calories as well.

The result? We even had room to share a dessert without feeling guilty. How's that for balance?
