The trouble with most training plans

Hey

The trouble with most cycling training plans is pretty common.

How many times have you bought a TrainingPeaks plan, only to give up after a few weeks because you couldn’t keep up with the hours it demanded?

Feeling like a failure, you resign yourself to thinking you're too old to improve your cycling. Slowly, you start to believe that your best days are behind you.

I hear this a lot when new clients start coaching with me. They’ve often purchased a training template online and followed it exactly, but after a few weeks, they end up burned out or injured. Why does this happen?

Self-coaching.

👉 Training five days a week, working 40 hours, and making time for family and loved ones – where’s the time to coach yourself through the process?

👉 Where’s the time to assess your training load each week and see how it might affect your progress in a month?

👉 Where’s the time to reflect and recognize that you might need rest because your stress and sleep have been challenging lately?

These are the reasons having a coach like me makes becoming a stronger and healthier cyclist much easier, both on and off the bike. Instead of you having the extra stress of self-managing your training, I’m there doing it for you.

✅ I review your progress every week.

✅ So all you have to do is focus on cycling.

✅ That’s why our clients see such great results in a short period.

Removing that added pressure frees you to focus on sleeping better, eating and fueling well, and relaxing with family and loved ones.

So when you do hit the road, you’re energized and excited to enjoy your ride. This brings back the joy to the sport you once loved so much.

How many TrainingPeaks plans have you purchased, only to never use them?

P.S. If you want to learn more about how my coaching could help you, book a call to see if we’re a good fit to work together.
