My 5-Week Cycling Transformation (And How You Can Do It Too!)

Hey

It's been quite the journey. There I was, determined to hit that magic four watts per kilo - the sweet spot where you feel like you're flying on the bike.

I decided to buckle down and commit to a structured training plan, and boy, has it paid off!

Over these five weeks, my fitness has skyrocketed.

We're talking a 33% improvement, according to Strava.

That's not just a number on a screen – I can feel it in every pedal stroke. I'm stronger on the bike, leaner in my physique, and dare I say, a bit more addicted to cycling than ever before (if that's even possible!).

But I know you might be wondering if another training plan is really worth it.

Life, as always, throws its curveballs. Holidays popped up, schedules got hectic, and sometimes, finding time to train felt like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Sound familiar?

So, what did I do? I got smart about it. Instead of trying to cram in long, gruelling sessions, I prioritized quality over quantity.

Threshold efforts became my best friend. When time was tight, I focused on these high-impact workouts that really pack a punch. And you know what? It worked.

But I won't sugarcoat it - consistency is really important. Alongside those focused bike sessions,

I've been sticking to my weight training plan like glue. It's this combination that's really been the secret sauce to my progress.

Looking ahead, I've got another holiday on the horizon. But instead of stressing about it, I'm embracing it as a chance for some well-deserved rest and recovery.

Because come mid-September, it's go time. I'm gearing up for a big block of training that coincides perfectly with the Cycle Lean project.

As part of the Cycle Lean project, a 12-week program designed to get you stronger and leaner on the bike, I've been putting in the work.

And I'd love for you to join me on this journey and see the same incredible results.

Imagine where you could be in 12 weeks. Crushing those hills that used to leave you gasping.

Setting new personal bests on your favourite routes. Feel that rush of endorphins as you realize just how far you've come.
