Hi
If you are more organised than me you will already know it is just over 2 weeks until Christmas! I swear the calendar must be playing tricks again, because wasn't it just October?
I usually have a tendency to shop for Christmas throughout the year, that way when it sneaks up on me yet again, I just have to pull out the presents I already have. Haha...sorted!
Although I must say, it is not so simple now that my children are grown and live in different states. This year just to make things even more interesting, my eldest is still unsure whether she will be in Perth, or have already moved 2700km away! So the present is organised, it has just been a big question of where she will be?!
Health Tip:
There are many reasons nowadays why so many people are unhealthy. However one reason I read about this week that affects almost everyone is oils. The article stated that:
- Many chronic diseases appear to be the result of a catastrophic cascade of health declines triggered by the long-term consumption of omega-6 seed oils
- To protect your health, it is vital that you reduce your intake of industrially processed seed oils as much as you can, which includes virtually all processed foods and fast foods that contain them.
What oils are they talking about?
The supposedly healthy oils include soy, cottonseed, sunflower, canola, corn and safflower. Even olive and avocado oil get a mention.
Personally I have avoided soy, canola and hydrogenated oils for many years, as well as limited the rest, but it is concerning to read how bad most oils are for you.

If you want some light, fun reading for over the holidays...
I recently read Cheaper by the dozen. Now I had just thought it was a Steve Martin movie. But no! It was based on a real family and I found it a fascinating read. Even though the time period it was set in was 100 years ago (!!!) it read very much like a modern story...just without the computers and cell phones.
The parents were incredible people, way ahead of their time and I came away with so many questions, and wanting to know more about this amazing family. It is a light and enjoyable read that I thoroughly enjoyed. Hopefully you can find a copy at your local library if you are interested.
Do you need a morning (or anytime) pick me up?
Here's a 1 minute video you can use to (hopefully) make you smile and feel good.
🎥 Omg! Could This Day Get Any Better?
Have a wonderful and inspiring week!
Best wishes
Tanya
