There is something so exciting about the move into May. The days are getting longer. During the winter when it turns 4pm we’re ready for pyjamas on the sofa, but in spring and summer it feels like there are still hours and hours to use. Perhaps it’s all the things coming into bloom, or the copious amounts of allergy medication, but ideas seem to be springing up everywhere. New ideas for our stories, for our characters, and even for ourselves as writers.

May 20 - Mind Mapping with Jacqui

Brainstorming is always a good way to gather new ideas, but doing it with the hive mind gives you even more. Here’s  your chance to mind-map anything from plot, to characters, to new marketing ideas!  

May 27 - Blue Pencil with Jenny

Everyone benefits from feedback. Here is your chance to volunteer 750 words of your manuscript or query letter for some group review. Feedback is designed to be positive, supportive and helpful. 

Getting the Most From TCA

The Academy is a labour of love. We started this community because we wanted a place to hang out with other creatives, to talk about writing/publishing (both the good and the bad) and to have opportunities to learn. During this time the Academy has grown and evolved.
