Forest Bathing and Podcasting Magic

imageGreetings from the Treehouse!

How are you doing?

I've had a busy couple of months teaching (Your Magical Nature course), some workshops and writing talks, plus singing with Morrigans Path...my favourite past time!

The usual job of writing first thing, working with Tarot and Reiki clients in the afternoons, and creating more podcast episodes with Ian, is keeping me on my toes too, I can tell you.

What do you do to chill out?

This is a question I find myself asking the guests on The Witch Wavelength podcast and many of them don't switch off at all. This is usually because their either writers, musicians, or artists of some kind.

Creatives are not good at giving themselves the much-needed time to relax. I know, because I'm one of them!

I'm fortunate in that I love what I do and none of it really feels like work, and therein lies the problem, although it never really feels like one.

However, sometimes you just have to switch off completely don't you?

Ian and I managed to do that a few weeks ago when we had a Forest Bathing experience in Sussex. Ian received it as a retirement gift from his job at the marina and we decided it was time to give it a go.

I won't go into detail because we're going to talk about it on the podcast, but I will say it was well worth the trip and the four hours we spent in the woods in varying degrees of horizontal positions in a meditative state.

I'll be honest, I was skeptical at first. Wasn't it just another way of marketing nature? Well actually yes, but it's not until you slow down as much as we did in those woods on that day, that you realise just how much you really need to.

As soon as we're done creating that episode, I'll let you know...but in the meantime, I think you'll enjoy our latest two episodes with Ash Mandrake- Bard & Mad Hatter and Mariëlle S. Smith - The Wordsmith Witch...

Both are very different people but I really enjoyed our magical chats!

That's all for now, so until next time, enjoy the magic of the season wherever you are, and remember to get some downtime before the madness of the next season hits us between the eyes (I won't mention the C word if you don't).

Take good care,

🌲 Treehouse Blessings 🌲

with love,
