News everywhere. But the fun bookish kind.

Do you ever have those weeks where you make it through it and at the end, you just want to high five yourself for surviving? No? Just me?

All right. I know we ALL have experiences or seasons in our life that are that way. SO please don't feel like you're alone in your state of overwhelm-ed-ness. (It's a word now. Just roll with it.)

So this is your daily reminder that life's too short to beat ourselves up over circumstances we can't control. 🙌

I normally send out a newsletter on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month. Is that what happened this month? No. Instead you get a Saturday morning news blast over a week late thanks to overwhelm-ed-ness life.

On to the good stuff!!

Writing update:

I don't have much I can tell you right now—except that I'm loving the story I'm working on right now. It's so much fun. That is all. I can't tell you more. Not yet. But I think you're going to love it! The banter. The characters. The plot. I'm fully immersed into this story right now and I can't stop writing it.

You can grab it off of all major retailers, and it's even available on Scribd.

And have I mentioned my HUGE, GIANT, obsessive love for Scribd yet? Because it's pretty much a gold mine for readers. It's a monthly subscription (9.99) for unlimited reading and audiobooks. It's amazing. There are so many different books to choose from and it's helping me learn to love audiobooks.

I highly recommend giving them a try.

Question:

Are you ready for fall? Usually I hang onto summer as hard as I can. This is the first year I've felt *ready* for fall. Who am I??! I don't even know. 🤷‍♀️ If I start decorating for fall, you'll know I've gone over the edge and need intervention.

This is a polite reminder to check on your summer-loving friends: it's September and they're probably not doing well in this cooler weather.

Lots of love and awkward hugs,

Carina Taylor
