That’s why establishing a foundation for our journey is crucial—it helps us find serenity amidst the chaos.

This reality hit home for me this week when I attended a funeral for a family member I had only met twice. She was my age and left behind her husband and her tiny daughter; ViVi. Surrounded by emotions—sadness, anger, hurt—I was anything but peaceful. It was a stark reminder of why our journey is so essential, and why it's vital we keep reminding ourselves of the peace we aim to achieve.

I had other plans for today’s kickoff activity before this week's events, but in my moments of sadness, I realized that we need a foundation for our pathway to peace.
