For months—maybe even years—I’ve felt a deep pull away from social media. I barely engage anymore, except to scroll through recipes and DIY projects I tell myself I’ll try one day.

And yet, I still find myself doom scrolling—mindlessly, numbly.

It’s not helping me.

It’s not making me feel more connected.

It’s just… draining.

And I know I’m not the only one.

So, I’m choosing something different.

Instead of getting lost in the noise, I’m creating a space where we can pause, breathe, and reconnect. A space away from algorithms, endless scrolling, and the pressure to “show up” in ways that don’t feel real.

A space where you can land, take a deep breath, and feel seen.

This isn’t just a newsletter—it’s a love letter. A space where I share my heart so you know you’re not alone.

The Moment That Broke Me Today

(But let’s be honest, this is my life. I deal with this almost every day.)

Today, I got really still.

And in that stillness, I broke down.

I felt the weight of it all.

As a mom to an autistic teenager with significant mental health struggles, so much of my time and energy is spent advocating—for his education, his therapy, his well-being. If it’s not school, it’s coordinating services, navigating paperwork, fighting for what he needs.

And trust me, it is always changing.

Some days, I feel mentally drained, emotionally overwhelmed, and deeply exhausted. Today was one of those days.

But if I’m being honest, it’s not just today. This is my reality.

This is what I carry.

And while I’ve learned how to move through it, how to find stillness even in the storm, it doesn’t make it easy.

But here’s the thing—finding that stillness is the only way I survive these moments.

Sometimes, that means taking a walk, stepping outside just to breathe, or hiding in the bathroom for a few sacred minutes of solitude. Other times, it’s as simple as making the conscious decision to close my eyes and take one deep breath.

Finding the stillness. Like the calm in the storm.

I don’t want this to sound too heavy, but let’s be real—life isn’t always easy.

We carry so much.

And yet, we keep going.

Not by pushing through, not by stuffing it all down, but by pausing. Breathing. Letting ourselves feel. Finding even the smallest space to be still.

That’s what The Still Point is about. Not just the soft, peaceful moments, but the raw, messy, real ones too—the ones where we hold so much, and somehow, find a way to keep going anyway.

Why This Space Exists

Maybe your chaos doesn’t look like mine.

But I know you, sister.

I know you have a lot on your plate.

I know the world pulls on you in a hundred different directions.

I know how hard it can feel to even breathe, let alone take time for yourself.

That’s why I’m here. That’s why this space exists.

This isn’t about adding more to your plate.

It’s about creating space to nourish yourself, even in the tiniest of ways.

Let’s Start Here…

Where do you find your moments of stillness?

Hit reply and let me know—I’d love to hear from you.

With love,

Charity
