You don’t need to plan the new year yet

Dear lovely soul,

As the holiday glitter begins to settle — on this quiet Sunday between Christmas and the New Year — I wanted to slip into your inbox with a gentle invitation. 🕯️

These past few months have invited me into a deeper slowing — more time inward, more listening, more presence with what’s been unfolding. And in that slowing, I felt called to pause… and to reach out.

Not to plan.

Not to fix.

Not to decide everything about the year ahead.

Just to pause. ✨

This in-between space is sacred. The stretch of days where one year loosens its grip and the next hasn’t yet asked anything of you. So often, we rush through it — already making lists, setting goals, bracing ourselves.

But what if, just for a moment, you didn’t?

What if you let this be a threshold… not a launching pad?

Today, I invite you to place one hand on your heart, take a slow breath, and gently ask:

What do I want to feel more of as I step into the new year?

Not what you want to do.

Not who you think you should be.

But what you want to feel.

Let that answer arrive softly. There’s no need to chase it.

You can carry that feeling with you — like a small lantern — letting it guide your choices when the year begins to move again.

I’m so glad you’re here. And I’m looking forward to sharing more quiet moments together as the year unfolds. 🤍

With warmth,

Charity

P.S. If it feels nourishing, you might take a few minutes today to write your answer down — or simply let it live quietly in your body. Both are enough. 🌿
